OLS is an Oxford Group dedicated to research and training in endoscopic surgery at the universities of Oxford in the United Kingdom, the KULeuvenin Leuven Belgium and the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Rome, Italy. If difficult, surgery will be performed by Prof Koninckx, in Leuven with a fellow or a registrar, in Oxford in collaboration with Mr E. Mc Veigh or mr T. Child, in Rome in collaboration with with Drssa A. Ussia and the other Roman collaborators

For patients from abroad full accommodation can be offered in Oxford, Leuven and in Rome. If you are considering this, it is useful to evaluate beforehand your medical record in order to avoid unnecessary travel. Generally a fairly accurate estimation of operability and chances of success can be given. Sometimes additional exams eg X-rays have to be performed. Final decision of treatment, however, generally requires a preoperative visit for clinical exam and informed consent. Please send a detailed history of complaints and previous surgeries and diagnoses and a copy of surgical and pathology reports if available. If scanned documents and others as tapes comprise more than 10 MB, surface mail is preferred.
